Every year Cindy Bregel arranges for 50 plus volunteers to assist disabled youth perform in Gliding Stars at the Cube. She has been doing this since 2000 when her daughter Taryn who is developmentally delayed, wanted to skate. The skaters who have a variety of disabilities, use braces, harness, adaptive skates and trained volunteers to preform on the ice. Cindy started skating as a child on ponds and carried that love into her current passion. She received a degree in Atlanta in merchandising. She is married and has a son in addition to her daughter. She believes everyone should “Get involved and make a difference1” Her role model is her aunt Marilyn who still volunteers in her 80’s. — with Cindy Bregel.
