How do you describe a librarian with tattoos, close cropped hair, bangled earrings and rides a 650 Yamaha motorcycle? “Cool”, “Wonderful” and “Awesome” to use just a few words used by students and staff at Jefferson. Jani Collins has been a librarian in the FCS system for 10 years. She loves bringing kids and books together. She also loves dispersing hugs to staff and students who stop by and need one as we witnessed. She is married with 3 grown children and has one grandchild. In her spare time she loves to read, ride her motorcycle and do collages. She loves the quote from Emerson, “What lies behind us, what lies before us, they matter little compared to what lies within us.” Her older sister Bobbi is her role model as she always looked up to her. We agree, very cool lady!
