A trip to the county fair and a video turned into a life changing event for Sunny Rae Davis and her partner Melissa McNeil. Already sharing 3 biological children they saw a need for foster homes in the area and applied. They have been doing this for three years and have adopted 3 of their foster children and have another 5 foster children. They moved their digs to a 6 bedroom duplex to have room for their brood. They are proud as one of their foster children just graduated from HS and is going to college.Sunny Rae works at Hope house as a case manager and Melissa is a student and stays home to take care of the little ones. They keep busy with softball, baseball, and volunteering. They are transplants arriving here in 2010. Her words of wisdom are “If you want something to happen- you have to claim it!” Jenn Swartzlander is her mentor as she is a child advocate and had faith in Sunny Rae for many years.
